Summary

Dr. Khaja Md. Shahidullah graduated from Dhaka Dental College, Dhaka University in 1988. He completed mandatory in-service training in general dentistry in the affiliated hospital, Dhaka dental college hospital. Soon after he started practice in general dentistry.

 In 1993, he joined Sondia Oral and Facial surgery and start to work under Professor Al-Mamoon Ferdousi, fellow of ‘Royal College and Surgeon who was a leading oral and maxillofacial surgeon at that time in Bangladesh.Dr. Shahidullah worked hard in the field of Prosthodontics and had the opportunity to build the skill in maxillofacial prosthodontics till 2000 under his closed supervision. In October 2000, went to U.K for Post-graduation training in implant and maxillofacial Prosthodontics.

After successful completion of post-graduation training, Dr. Shahidullah joined Sapporo Dental College & Hospital as a lecturer in the department of Material Science in 2002 and then in the dept.  of  Prosthodontics in 2004. Currently, he has been working as head of the department of prosthodontics.

 In the year of 2007, he also established Prosthodontic laboratory in his chamber (LAMISA DENTAL CENTRE) with trained staffs. The prime objective of establishing this dental laboratory was to provide a better treatment to the patient and as well as to support the fellow dentist to improve their quality of practice.

 Meanwhile, he went for higher study to Chonnum National University, Korea and successful completed his post-graduate degree (MDS). Dr Shahidullah is in his relentless struggle to improve the quality of dentistry in his area of specialty in particular and in other areas of dentistry in general.

 Dr Khaja Md. Shahidullah is founder and principal trainer of ‘Academy for dental professionals’ (clinical skill lab) with phantom head first time in Bangladesh. This academy provides hands-on training for fresh and practicing dentists to improve their clinical skill in different disciplines of dentistry.

He is working in a referral based practice in general, maxillofacial and implant prosthodontics.The present innovativescheme of Dr Shahidullah is to develop a global standard dental service centre ‘DENTOTAL’ (Advanced Dental Life Line and Research Center).
